Binki Bummer...

Photobucket

I need some thoughts from mommies. Jack is 18 months old and he needs to get off his pacifier. (I'm wishing I never gave it to him in the first place!) The Dr. has told me and I know it needs to go bye bye. Dr. said to get rid of it cold turkey. Just throw them all away but I'm worried about my sleep. Selfish I know. He only uses it when he goes to bed and if he gets really hurt. He goes down to bed so easily with the help of it. I guess I should just do it! Any thoughts or ideas? I've looked online and everything is to help older kids. I guess I just feel bad taking it away from him. Help!

I am going through the same dilemma with Rylee! None of my other kids ever had a binky & we can't seem to break her of this habit. I think cold turkey is the best. I have heard of cutting off the tip & then when they go to suck it doesn't work and they don't want it anymore. Tara put all of Grace's in a balloon and let her send them off! I think I am going to try cutting Rylee's, but we just moved her into a bed so I am going to wait a little bit! Good luck!
